Most libraries will have a shelf list for Sutro and the reference librarian will usually be able to assist you. There is a small charge for this service. California residents have priority. Out of state you can only borrow if the book is not available anywhere in your own state. There are also genealogy collections at: Escondido Public Library, Riverside City and County Library, Palm Springs Public Library, Thousand Oaks Public Library, Gledhill Library (Santa Barbara Historical Society), and others. If you are doing California research, you may want to visit the California State Library in Sacramento.
