Good Morning All: Thank you Clay for passing Jerry along to us. Jerry, yes, you are descended from George 1 as you have it, and to Mark is fine. Mark apparently eith had a first wife, unknown, or else a son by Mary Ramsdell. I know the person who submitted the data to A. James Aldrich, and I will pass her address to you privately, as she may not wish to be bombarded with information seekers. AJ #203 Vol 1 and Vol 5 states that Mark may have had an unknown first wife. There is certainly room for this to have occurred. Anyway according to the GAG Vol 5 pg 22, Mark 6 was b. 03 Apr 1769 in Shrewsbury, MA. {I do not find this in the Shrewsbury, MA vital records}the place may be Shutesbury, MA of which I do not have the vital records. Mark 6 Aldrich (AJ #457R)(GAG Vol 5 pg 45-6) married Lydia Terry in 1794 and moved to Colebrook, Coos Co., NH. He may have first lived at maidstone, VT as he was apprenticed to a Mr. Terry who moved to Maidstone. Lydia Terry was the dau. She b. 1774, Enfield, CT and d. 01 Sep 1854 in Eddington, Penobscott Co., ME. He and Lydia had 14 children! Alpheus 7 being the 5th child and b. 12 Mar 1801 (AJ #734I) (GAG Vol 5 pg 105). The line is carried on down to Bernard Thomas 10 Aldrich b in 1904 Pomfret, CT.
