Decided to take a check on what's available in the Family History Library, SLC on the Aldrich records (there are 70 references) yesterday. Here is what I found: Alice Cady's Bowen Family Records, filed in Vermont Library contained some very interesting information about George and Katherine. This was 1944. The information contained within are pre-1944. The references led to New England Genealogical and Historical Register. Seems one of descendants has the exact date of marriage! and exact date of arrival in Boston! Plus other info as well. George Aldrich died 1 March 1682/3 (Register vol 75, p. 321) will dated 2 Nov 1682. Married 5 Nov 1629 Catherine Seald (Raymond Meyers Tingley in Register) Catherine born 1610, died Mendon 11 Jan 1691. was in Swansea 1669-1670 before returning to Mendon. Sailed 6 Nov 1631. (Raymond Meyers Tingley mentioned this in Register) Was at Suffolk, MA 1635 There was a mention in Register that Raymond Meyers Tingley was researching/collecting the genealogies of the descendants of George Aldrich. Mention said he lived at Herrick Centre, PA. That would be before 1944. Wondering what became of him and his records? In Bowen genealogy, Abel, the oldest child/son DIED 1683! Vol 49 p. 350 of Register.... George was made freeman at Dorchester 7 Dec 1636. Was at Braintree 1640-1663. Mendon 1663-1683 W. David Samuelsen
