I inserted the warning messages in the welcome messages concerning replying to the message and the default the list is set up. I even inserted a warning paragraph right at the top of the welcome messages in both mail and digest mode versions to print out their copy of the welcome message. Even a paragraph in the administrative portion of the digest mode against replying to the Digest. And the list will not accept any html-defaulted messages or will accept any virus hoax messages because they are automatically rejected by the filters. The ones who posted in html-defaulted format will get a copy of instructions telling them to go to specific site (http://www.rootsweb.com/rootsweb/listowners/html-off.htm) on how to turn off the defaults to make them in plain text instead. Attachments will be converted to plain text format if you attempt to forward a message. It is preferred that a reply-to feature be used instead of forwarding. The one I forwarded to the list yesterday is a example of how an attached forwarded message will be treated. No gifs can be posted - they get rejected right on spot by filters. W.
