    3. -- [ From: Krys Smith * EMC.Ver #2.5.3 ] -- I have been receiving the Aldrich mailing list for a while, but I don't see much in my line there. So I am posting my lineage from George Aldrich, and I would love to get any further information on any of these individuals. I am especially trying to find the parents, etc. of Rachael Adams who m. Seneca Aldrich. I have family information going back to Seneca Aldrich. I connected Seneca Aldrich to George Aldrich through information at a Family History Center. I have cemetery information for some of these people. Thanks, Krys Smith JGNL00A@prodigy.com (those are zeros in that first part) George1 Aldrich m. Katherine Seald Jacob2 Aldrich m. Hi All, Sorry I'm so late jumping in here but better late than never. :) Yes, John Bartlett b . England- d. 17 Aug. 1684, Cumberland, R.(now Manville, R.I.) However in many writings I have , it says John b. England was the son of JOHN & JOANE . ( Town records of Weymouth. Ma. and other writings, including The History of Bellingham, Ma, ) mar. abt. 1665; Sarah ALDRICH -George -1; b. 16 Jan 1645, Braintree, Ma d. 17 Feb. 1685; Cumberland , R.I. (now Manville R.I.) Their son John Jr. Bartlett b. 11 Feb. 1666 Weymouth, Ma. mar. Alice ? Ayone know her last name??? There is according to record 9 Bartletts that immagrated to the colonies five (5) of them arriving between 1623 and 1643. It says it was here in Ma. that the famous Bartlett Pear came into existence.. Some settled in Maine. A few manuscripts I have (unp) say the Bartletts can be traced back to 1066. to the Norman invasion of England. The Battle of Hastings. I do have a little history on this if anyone's interested but these are privately researched manuscripts.. so how accurate I cannot say. I would be very interested in more information that "This John" was the son of Richard ?? As this is also one of my Aldrich lines, and must admit to little research on this line from original records.. Most is from other's writings (Manuscripts) Local History .. Thank You . Alice

    3. Bob, I'm afraid I can't help you much. > Two more questions for Shirley. 1 - Did John2(Richard1) marry Sarah2 > Aldrich, d/o George1? Jones shows 2 sons of Richard1 named John. John2 bap 9 Nov 1613 Chirton Parish, Wilt ENG married Joana ( ). John2 bap 24 Feb 1632 Chirton Parish, Wilt ENG married Sarah Aldrich, 1665. Richard1 is not one of my ancestors so I don't have anything else for him. Perhaps the Chirton Parish registers might help or there might be something in one of the Journals. 2 - What is the relationship between Richard1 and Robert1 of the Anne? Robert1 of the Anne, son of Robert of Puddington, Dorset ENG, had a brother Richard bap 1600 but, according to the Jones material that I quoted, Richard1, b.1580, was the son of Edmund of Stopham, Essex ENG. BTW, Robert1 of the Anne is a confusing label to me. I prefer to refer to him as Robert of Plymouth or Robert, husb of Mary Warren. The reason is that another of my Bartlett ancestors is Robert1 of Hartford and Northampton, husb of Anne. -- Shirley York Anderson ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ My web page: http://pages.prodigy.net/york47/ Ancestors and Descendants of Thomas York and Mary Dickens Ancestors and Descendants of John Williams and Selina Brewster Descendants of John Rodger and Janet McFarlane ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

    3. I have a newspaper clipping from the Sunday, 15 Oct 1950 Register-Guard, Eugene, Ore. Shows a picture of the ceremony and the following. "ENSIGN ROBERT. G. ALDRICH, USN, son of Mr.. and Mrs. C.L. Aldrich of 2567 Nixon St. is shown as he was being awarded the Air Medal for heroism as a divebomber pilot against the North Korean Communists. Vice Admiral Arthur D. Struble, commander of the Seventh Fleet, pinned the medal on Aldrich in a ceremony held recently on a U.S. Navy aircraft carrier in the Far Eastern waters. Aldrich flew in support of the Inchon landing and was in the group that flew the highest number of missions from the USS Valley Forge. (U.S. Navy photo, Wiltshire engraving.)" 3. Hello, I am just beginning the search into my ALDRICH line and it starts with Luther Tisdale ALDRICH (b. c. 1822), m. 1850 Christiann(a) Howell, lived in Cattaraugus Co, NY. I was referred to the list in the hopes that someone here may have information on his line which is suggested to be Turner, Turner Sr., Peter, Peter Sr., Jacob, George. I have some confusion on Luther's children and would like to see if anyone has information on him and the family. Sorry for the lack of details on the kids, but the names are what is somewhat confusing. Thanks for any help or suggestions. Regards, Bill Barrett
