Black Oak is a small community located off Dekalb Co. Rd 50. The area is southwest of Rainsville, AL. I don't have the exact location of the others, but am told that they are in the same general area. I have a list of POs & Postmasters of the area from 1836 - 1905, which was compiled by T. Euclid Rains, Sr. & G. Nell Rains. Black Oak & Musgrove POs were discontinued to the Chavies PO, Sauty Mills (closest sounding one to Saulty Creel) to Fyffe. If you would like the names of the Postmasters, let me know. Hope this helps, Tracy Wilson Jackson Co., AL ---------- : From: Alfred Ellis <aceala@email.msn.com> : To: ALDEKALB-L@rootsweb.com : Subject: Post offices on Sand Mountain : Date: Sunday, January 24, 1999 8:43 PM : : Does anyone know where Black Oak, Musgrove, and Saulty Creel Post offices : were on Sand Mountain?
