I'm looking for information on J. B. TURNER and his wife, Mary. they were the parents of John Erasmus TURNER, who lived in Alpharetta and Roswell, Fulton Co., GA, then moved to DeKalb Co., AL, in the Mt. Moriah area. A cousin has a post card with J. B.'s picture on it and the dates of his birth and death: 1821-1866. I don't have the date of the card (I can't remember now, but it may not have been legible), but the postmark was Luna, DeKalb Co., AL. The picture was mailed to his son, John Erasmus. I have not been able to find J. B. and Mary TURNER in a census, although I have seen an index showing a John B. and Mary in the 1850 DeKalb Co., GA census. Have not had access to the census itself. I would also like to know if anyone has access to DeKalb Co. death records or obituaries. Would be happy to pay someone for copying such for me for John Erasmus TURNER, died 21 Sep 1918. I would also be happy to swap lookups for Bradley, McMinn, James, and Hamilton Counties in TN. I have several books for the above counties--some marriages, cemeteries, and censuses.
