Hello, Dekalb County Researchers, I'm new to the list, and am fishing......Is anyone researching the ROWAN family of Dekalb and Jackson Counties and surrounding areas? I'm researching Elisha and Elijah ROWAN, who were both 15 years old in 1850, in the household of Robert RAINS. Does anyone know why they were in the RAINS household, instead of with their parents? Were they children of one of the ROWAN families of Dekalb Co or Jackson Co? Was their mother a RAINS, possibly a sister of Robert RAINS? Their father was very possibly Robert ROWAN. Does anyone have access to any of the marriage records of that area? I need to know who Robert ROWAN married, between 1830-1840. Just one more question.....Are the wills and estate records available for Dekalb County, for the years between 1835-1855? Would love to hear from anyone concerning anything about the ROWAN and/or RAINS families of that area. Thank you so very much for any help or suggestions. Jean
