Glenda: I'm researching Ellen Rosie Weaver who supposedly was from Collinsville in DeKalb County. b. 04 Oct. 1856 and d. 21 Oct. 1939. She married Thomas Franklin Land on 24 Mar 1872. Her parents were Abraham M. Weaver and Mary J. Landingham. The family story is that her father owned a plantation and Thomas Land was the overseer and she eloped with him. Ellen's children were Edward E, Leola L, Thomas Jr., William M., Lillie Harris (my grandmother), Brinson B., Jessie J., and George O. They later moved to Texas and Thomas died in 1900. I cannot find any information on him in Texas. Ellen remarried W.C. Thomas and moved to Oklahoma, where she died in 1939. Any info on this? Lisa Leonard Hatchell Amsterh@aol.com
