Does anyone know for whom Beeson's Gap was named? This is the the gap going up to Lookout Mtn from Fort Payne. Also, doesn anyone have information on Jesse Beeson and how he is related to Pleasant D. Phillips. It is believed that he was married to a sister of Jesse Beeson. Both Jesse and Pleasant are listed a merchants in the 1850 census. Any help appreciated. Alfred C. Ellis
