Searching for any information on the widow Hannah Stafford family listed on the 1840 and 1850 DeKalb County census. During that period she had three adult females living with her (Nancy, Jane and Ellen). On the 1860 and 1870 census both Hannah and Ellen are missing, with Nancy and Jane living alone. I believe Hannah was also the mother of Stephen, Pleasant and Susannah (Stafford) Cooper. Can anyone tell me the name of Hannah's husband, and where they lived prior to DeKalb County? Indications are that they lived somewhere in South Carolina, possably in either Pendleton or Greenville Counties. Jim Galey
