She departed this life on March 23, 2004 at The River Chase Care Center, Quincy, Florida. Mrs. Murray was married to the late Sebron Murray and they subsequently became proud parents of five children: James A. Murray of Fayetteville, NC; Dorothy J. Smith of Bronx, NY; Louis A. Murray of Tallahassee, FL; Naomi Kennedy and Gladys Smith of Bronx, NY. She was educated in Coosa County Public School. At an early age she joined the Hatchett Spring Baptist Church and later joined the Macedonia Baptist Church where she was a faithful and diligent worker until her health failed. She was a staunch supporter of Macedonia Baptist Church where she served as Sunday School Teacher, Church Clerk and Deasones. Other organizations include President of The Missionary Society, Treasurer of the Early Rose District Sunday School, member of the Order of Eastern Star. Mrs. Murray enjoyed sewing, cooking, gardening, and missionary work. Surviving to share a legacy of love, her sons: James (Mary) Murray; Louis (Fonda) Murray. Her daughters: Dorothy (Paul) Smith; Naomi (Fred) Kennedy; Gladys Smith. A sister, Anna M. Ballard of Dadeville, AL. A sister-in-law, Odell Wilson of Detroit, Michigan. A brother-in-law, Jessie Wilson of Anniston, AL. Nine grandchildren: Alfred, Ann, Paul Jr., Valerie, Fredrick, Carmen, June, Victoria, and Bernard.
