    2. Arthur H McCollum
    3. Looking for information about Richard Pitts, his wife Nancy J. and their family. They are shown in the 1860 and 1870 federal census' living in Harrell's Crossroads, Dallas County, but I can find no trace of them after that. Nancy J was the daughter of Thomas and Lucretia McCollum, originally of Perry County; see below. Also looking for information about Thomas and Lucretia McCollum. They lived in Perry County, probably in the eastern part. Thomas died about 1846, but we don't know exactly when or where he's buried. His widow Lucretia is listed in the 1850 federal census but nothing thereafter. She reportedly remarried and may have lived in western Dallas County during the later years of her life. Family lore says she died in 1884, but we don't know where she's buried. Thomas & Lucretia McCollum were the parents of William P. McCollum who owned a farm near Marion Junction and died in 1902. Thomas and Lucretia were also the parents of a son Thomas, born about 1845, who apparently owned part of a lot in Marion Junction which he sold to his brother William in 1867. We don't know what happened to Thomas after that. I'd appreciate any leads anyone can give me. Howard McCollum hmccollum@prodigy.net
