I have an earlier connection to a Crenshaw line. My connection is through Mary Ann Crenshaw born ca l760/62. died Lancaster Co.SC in l844 -age 84. She married Thomas Mackey ca l783/84. He is my Am. Rev. ancestor. His father was John Mackey and his mother was Sarah McKinney (McKinnie), daughter of Benjamin McKinnie, SC Mary Ann Crenshaw's father was Micajah Crenshaw. Whose father was Joseph Crenshaw from Va. ( Will: l757.) died in French & Indian War, served under Gen. George Washington. My great grandfather, Dr. Wm. George Mackey (gr. grand-son of Thomas Mackey and Mary Ann Crenshaw ) was in Wilcox Co. Al., Mt. Moriah- six miles east of Pineapple, Al., in l840/41 serving his apprenticeship in medicine there under a Dr. L. Allison. He later attended Translvania Univ., School of Medicine, Lexington,Ky. As Wilcox County is adjacent to Dallas County, Al., there may be a connection - to our ancestors. If you are interested ,Please e-mail to me your connections. I am in Daughters of the American Colonists on the McKinney-McKinnie line. & in NSDAR on the Mackey Line.
