Hi List -- I was so glad to find out about this new list. I have been searching for information on my great-grandfather for several months and have posted many inquiries with no success so far. So Maybe someone on this list could help. I am searching for info on the parents and siblings of Rufus COCHRAN b. 7-8-1858 Selma, AL d. 4-26-1939 Waco, TX. I know his father was born in S. Carolina and his mother in Alabama. I have the index for the 1860 census which lists several COCHRANs, but I haven't found him. I live in Dayton, OH. and as I do Income Taxes, I can't do too much research until after April 15th. Then I plan to go the Cincinnati Library where they have the complete federal census for all states. Anyway, any help given would be appreciated.
