The bodies of the Union soldiers that fell in Cahaba were disinterred shortly after the War and moved to the Federal Military Cemetery in Marietta, GA. As I live not too far from there, I would gladly look up the names of your soldier at the cemetery. I realize the query to the list in the last few days was probably for Confederate dead in Dallas County, but it made me think about those who died there, either in Fort Morgan or in fighting.
