The Harrell family settled in 1818 between Forts (now Marion Junction) and the Cahaba River. Originally shown on maps as Harrell's Crossroads, the name was shortened on later maps to Harrell. I have inherited the Elias Fort Harrell family bible (and not much else). I would like to correspond with other descendants of Elias Fort Harrell, as well as descendants of his father, Hardiman Israel Harrell, and grandfather, Gabriel Holmes Harrell. W. G. Hayes
