Hope, Alabama where he became the Postmaster before the Civil War. Does anyone know who Pleasant Washington McVay's mother and father were? 2. His wife, Sarah Elizabeth Clemmonds, b abt 1814 in Kentucky died around time of Civil War. Does anyone have any information on this person. 3. William Sterling McVay was his son. Next, 1.
