I am researching William Hutchinson NORRIS, a well known figure in Dallas County circa 1830's-40's-50's. In the late 1830's he was a member of the Alabama House of Representatives and during 1840's, he was a State Senator. No bit of information is too trivial, and my main goal is to find the identity of his mother. He left his parents home in Georgia when he was about 18 or so (1818) and moved to Alabama and resided in Wilcox, Perry, Dallas and finally Monroe Counties. In 1865, he took all of his family, with the exception of his son Francis Johnson NORRIS and migrated to Brazil where he died in 1893.
