    3. >From Dallas County Marriage Book B, p.186 The State of Alabama, Dallas County, to an licensed minister of the gospel, Judge of the Circuit or County court, Justice of the Peace of said county, you are hereby authorized to celebrate the Rites of marriage between Mr. John Chesnut and Miss Elizabeth G. Craig and join them together in the Holy Bonds of matrimony and for so doing, this shall be your sufficient warrant. Given under my hand at office the 19th day of January 1841..............Sanford Blann, Clerk I rode through dark and stormy weather To join these loving folks together. And notwithstanding mud and water, John Chesnut married Bob Craig's daughter. So Mr. Clerk, you'll please record it In this same style in which I word it. I have been told by the staff at the court house that this is the only license they have seen done this way. I added some data at the bottom so that hopefully someone may connect with it.
