Hello Everyone, I am searching for the parents, siblings or any relatives of Thomas E. SAMPLE. He was born 20 Apr 1851 in, I believe, Dallas Co. AL. but I have no proof. Here is what I know about him..... In 1882, he married Savilla Hamilton, in Owensboro, Daviess Co., KY. In the announcement of their wedding in the Owensboro paper, it states that he was from Selma, Alabama. They had 2 daughters...Nannie Bee Sample (my grandmother) born 25 Jul 1883 in Owensboro, KY. and Jessie Sample, born 1885. She died in 1899. Thomas SAMPLE worked for the O&N railroad (Owensboro & Nashville) while in Kentucky. On 13 Aug 1886, he was killed in Russellville, Logan Co., KY when he was thrown from a flat car while the train was in motion. It ran over him and killed him. He is buried at Maple Grove Cemetery in Russellville, KY. My grandparents moved from Russellville, KY to Birmingham, AL about 1903. On the 1910 Census of Jefferson Co., AL., it shows my grandmother's father was born in Alabama. Any information about the SAMPLE family in Dallas County will be appreciated. Myra Marsh in Plano, TX.
