My husbands gr gr grandmother, Nancy A. GRUMBLES born Sept 2, 1846 is from the Old Town area of Dallas County. Nancy married James ELLIS (of Tennessee?) . Nancy and James left Alabama sometime after 1880. They are both buried in the Red Oak Cememtery in Red Oak (Latimer County) Oklahoma. I currently show Nancy's parents as William Wiley Grumbles and Nancy Covington. I am still searching for possible parents for James ELLIS. I find James and Nancy on the 1870 census, Dallas County. The census indicates James was born in Tennesse. James and Nancy are living next door to another James ELLIS, born in Alabama per the census. Could this be father and son? Thanks, Chris
