    2. Curt, I was not really fishing for you to look these up. JUST THOUGHT someone else may be connected with the family who knows more about REUBEN and ELIZABETH's families in NC and SC I am fairly sure this is the situation with Elizabeth Perry and Reuben White: REUBEN WHITEb ca 1770 in Anson County, NC; d ca 1 June 1818 DALLAS County, Al m. (1798 in South Carolina) to ELIZABETH PERRY b ca 1776 Franklin County, NC. She died 11 June, 1853 in DALLAS CO AL...BUT she would not be listed as ELIZABETH WHITE as by that time she had remarried ...to REV JAMES HOLLY/HOLLEY....so she would be listed as ELIZABETH HOLLY. REV HOLLY was from South Carolina originally. The children of ELIZABETH PERRY and REUBEN WHITE were DAVID WHITE who m. JANE JOWERS TEMPERANCE WHITE MARTHA PERRY WHITE (PATSY) M LORENZO FISHER JANE WHITE M. CRANE SINCLAIR JOHN PHILLIPS WHITE JOSEPH ALLEN WHITE m 1. Miss SAFFOLD 2. CELESTE TINSLEY ELIZABETH L. The 1840 Census Index shows a David White in Lowndes Co, AL. I would bet that the Elizabeth White living with the McKees I gave you is his wife. Since most of the people settled in Lowndes Co in the 1820s & 1830s, I looked in the 1820 Census Index and their was a David & Reuben White and Perrys to include an Elizabeth Perry living in Conn. Since Elizabeth White and Olivia McKee showed birthplace of Conn in the 1850 Census, that is where you will probably find your familly. They may have stopped in NC on their way to AL. During my research, I have found that a good many of settlers of AL, especially the one in the East Central part of AL, had lived for awhile in NC, SC & GA prior to settling in that part of AL in the mid 1830s after the defeat and removal of the Creek Indians. These are just my thoughts on this. You may have information that shoots this out of the water. >>
