    3. Hi Judy- Referring agasin to my source: on pg. l675 Victor Paul Meador states: James Meador "Apparently born in Amelia Co. Va. nearly same age of other Meadors there with exception of Joel. it is proposed that he is son of Joel, but without documented proof-He witnessed a Deed Jan 762, D>B>7,p.652. with Benjamin Meador ( his supposed brother His wife, Susannah ia a co-signer when they sold Amelia Co. holdings. 22 April 1779, D.B.13,p.81 A Susannah Meadors bought a slave at this time D>B>l5,p.339, witnessed by Benjamin Meador. He states I failed to find my source for proof she was /Susannah Jordan, but base this on fact that the oldest sin was named Reuben, a name that came down through Jordan lineage.. Lineage of Reuben Meador has Reuben b. May 6,l776,Va. m. Hannah Adair b. Sept. l784 Va. d. 31 Oct. l866 SC, had dau. named Susannah who married Wm. Prather. Reuben's WILL named wife Hannah, chn. Susannah Prather, On pg. 1613, he states a hypothesis, that Joel/Joshua was in Amelia Co Va. by l736, with other Meador relative, Jason, Job, ("His probable brothers ) & including Rachel Meador Jordan and her son Jubal Jordan, ect/ On pg. 1683, He lists Jehu John Meador as son of James Meador -l730's-l803, Jehu John Meador- b.l771-80 Va, d. l840 Bedford Co.,Va,mar. Sept. 13,l796, Nancy Jane Board (1st. wife, b. 22 Sept l778, d. aft. l821- had daughter Susannah Meador who married (?) Morris -( no record of this purported marriage) .m. 2nd. Wm. D. Kemp l833 Franklin Co. Va. I am sorry, the writer seems to have many "supposed facts". Maybe some thing can be found or can be a clue ,from these writings.
