Hi Ann Blakely, Elijah Tabor and Susan Sims were my gggreat grandparents. Their son George W. Tabor and Mary Winnie Edmunds were my gggrandparents. Their son John Burrell (Burl) Tabor and Josephine Anita Butler were my ggrandparents. Their son Charles Louis Tabor and Mary Pearl Hutto were my grandparents. Their son James Hutto Tabor was my dad. I don't know when Elijah and Susan moved to the Shiloh area between Farmerville and Bernice in Union Parish, Louisiana, but I do show a son named Nathan who was born about 1848. This must be your g-grandfather who married Margaret Adeline Thompson (2nd wife)and Molly Bagwell (1st wife), and is buried in Dallas, TX. My gggrandfather George would have been his older brother. George died during the Civil War. The story goes that Elijah went to get his son's body and became ill. He never fully recovered and died a couple of years later. I found out several years ago that my sister-in-law (married to my husband's brother) is also descended from George's wife Mary Winnie Edmunds, by her second husband. I have been in contact with another descendant (of Elijah and Susan) whose uncle wrote a brief family history before he died which said Elijah had 16 children. I show only ten. How many do you have? I would love to exchange information with you. I have familytreemaker 6.0 and can send and receive GEDCOMs via email. Or I can send you a copy snail mail. I am anxious to here more about Reddick's parents!! Look forward to hearing from you again. Susan (Tabor Herring) Homer, Louisiana (30 miles from Shiloh, where Elijah and Susan lived)
