To Ernest Dollar: I have information on a group of Woods cousins (from Dallas County) who served and/or were killed in the Confederate Army. A diary kept by Edward Woods (called "Colonel Ed Woods") of Selma is extant, but it does not contain much information on his Confederate service. Elizabeth Woods Reid (an aunt of Colonel Edward Woods) had five sons who served in the Confederate army, and -- as far as I can determine -- only one survived the war.
