Looking for info on my grandfather's grandfather -Edward Jones. All I know now is that he bought land from Archibald P. McCurdy's estate via Nathaniel Waller (A.P.'s executor) back in 1867. Edward's chilren: Fannie d. 1949, Edward d. 1950, Ella m. BELL, James d. 1938, Anna m. MINNIFIELD, d. 1962. This info is so far back I doubt if it will help you. The name Edward JONES sounded familiar to me so I checked my file and found four generations back in VA: Edward JONES JR died before 1730 in Isle of Wight County, VA. He was married to Deborah EXUM d/o William and Jane EXUM. Edwards JONES III was born in 1695 in Isle of Wight County, VA. He was married to Abigail SUGARS. He died before 1750 in Warren Co, VA. He also had a son Edward JONES and I have no info on him.
