Hi, I just came across the very helpful 1866 'Colored Population' data for Dallas County Alabama that you put up, and I had a quick question: I've been trying to locate information on the ex-slaves of James Osgood Andrew (Summerfield, Dallas County, AL -- a Bishop of the Methodist Church, who moved to Summerfield from Oxford, Georgia in 1857). Eleven persons are listed in the 1860 Slave Schedule in Andrew's household; I didn't see any mention of James Andrew in the data posted; have you by any chance come across any reference to him or those enslaved in his household? many thanks, Mark Auslander
