Can anyone tell me what happened to PORTLAND Alabama, Dallas County. It has been said to be on the east side of the river at the next bend in the river below Cahawba. It shows on a map search performed on MSN mapping, but fdoes not show on state maps, or in the one book I have on 'Dead Towns' in Alabama.
