Bob, I took the information you sent and sent out a query on the McWhorter side. I hooked up with another McWhorter researcher who asked about the source for Elbert McWhorter (5/6/1731-7/6/1791) being the son of Hugh McWhorter, Sr. She doesn't have Elbert or McFarland on her list of children of Hugh and Jane.
