Surname: GLASS I am looking for any information about James B. Glass. He was the father (per her death certificate) of Sarah Emma Glass (married Charles Monroe Hinson) who was born in Selma, February 14, 1884 or 1885. She died in Meridian, MS, May 7, 1941. Her mother's name is not given on the death certificate. James B. Glass probably would have been born in Alabama in the mid-1800's (1840-1865). Thank you for any help with this family. I'm researching the family of William H. Sadler, born in South Carolina and died 16 December 1844 in Bogue Chitto, Dallas County, Alabama. His Wife was Elizabeth (don't have last name), born 1795 in South Carolina, He had five children listed in the 1860 Alabama Census. They were (1) Nancy Saddler born 1823 South Carolina, (2) Lucinda Sadler born 1831 South Carolina who married Robert J. Travers, (3) William H. Saddler, My GG Grandfather, born 1831/1833 South Carolina, (4) Elizabeth Saddler born 1834 South Carolina and (5) Malachi Saddler born 1838 Bogue Chitto, Dallas County, Alabama. I believe this family to be related to the Richard Sadler -Rachel Murphy family of York County South Carolina. However I could be wrong. William (277) along with an Isaac Saddler (276) are listed in the 1840 Alabama census with Bogue Chitto as the town ship. I have not looked at the film on this census. Any assistance would be appreciated. Regards, Bo Sadler

Hello from Texas, I am seeking a marriage between James W. DUNN and an unknown abt 1852/1853. Her name has been reported to me as Amanda Vak, but his second mariage in 1857 was to Amanda Parnell of Bibb Co. I don't believe both would have had same 1st name. Have found no Vak surname in any census records. James and 1st wife had a daughter, Molly, born 1854. Thanks. Janet in San Antonio

Very interested in any information on the above people, or anyone related to these families. Many came from Edgefield Dist, SC. Responding to the Roll Call: Researching Daniels, King, McCollum, Pitts Thomas & Lucretia McCollum listed in 1830 & 1840 census' of Perry County. Her maiden name may have been King. Thomas died between 1845-1850. 1850 census of Perry County lists Lucretia with her minor children in Barron's Beat of Perry County. Lucretia apparently remarried, 2nd husband's name may have been Daniels. They may have lived in western Dallas County near Perry County. Thomas & Lucretia's oldest daughter, Nancy Jane McCollum married Richard Pitts. They are listed in the 1860 and 1870 census' of Harrell's Beat, Dallas County, but I can find no record of them after that. Thomas & Lucretia's oldest son, William P. McCollum, married Catherine O. Stevens of Dallas County. They lived first in Selma, then near Marion Junction where she died in the 1890s and he died in 1902. I'm interested in finding descendants of Richard & Nancy Jane (McCollum) Pitts, and information about the deaths and burying places of Thomas and Lucretia McCollum
