    1. [ALDALLAS-L] howard family search
    2. Sarah Hanner
    3. I am looking for information on Caleb Howard, born in 1824 in South Carolina. He moved to Dallas county, al sometime in the middle 1800's. In the 1880 census records he was listed as living in Carlowville, Al with his wife, Ellin (maiden name unknown) from Missouri and five children, Sarah, age twelve, her twin brother Albert, Martha, age eleven, William, age four and Frank, age one year. Frank Howard was found in the 1900 census living in Dunnavant, Al in Shelby county. He was married to Gussie Isbell Howard and at the time they had two children, William Baless, around two years old and Bithie Katie Caroline Howard about four months old. There were several other children born to Frank and Gussie, but I am not sure of their names. I would love to hear from anyone who might have information on any of these people. Thanks Sarah

    1. [ALDALLAS-L] Saddler's Dallas County
    2. I'm researching the family of William H. Sadler/Saddler, born in South Carolina and died 16 December 1844 in Bogue Chitto, Dallas County, Alabama. His Wife was Elizabeth (don't have last name), born 1795 in South Carolina, He had five children listed in the 1860 Alabama Census. They were (1) Nancy Saddler born 1823 South Carolina, (2) Lucinda Saddler born 1831 South Carolina who married Robert J. Travers, (3) William H. Saddler, My GG Grandfather, born 1831/1833 South Carolina, (4) Elizabeth Saddler born 1834 South Carolina and (5) Malachi Saddler born 1838 Bogue Chitto, Dallas County, Alabama. I believe this family to be related to the Richard Sadler -Rachel Murphy family of York County South Carolina. However I could be wrong. William (277) along with an Isaac Saddler (276) are listed in the 1850 Alabama census with Bogue Chitto as the town ship. I have not looked at the film on this census. Any assistance would be appreciated.

    1. [ALDALLAS-L] CENSUS LOOK UP
    2. Hallman
    3. Hello, If there is anyone out there who could do a census look up for me I sure would appreciate it. I am looking for Turner Youngblood. He would show up in the 1850 census as a child. He could possibly even show up in the 1840 or maybe even the 1860 census. I am most interested in finding out about his parents and siblings. I know nothing of him, except that he was my great grandfather, born in Alabama and I believe in this county. He has been a brick wall for me. Thank you in advance for help. Veronica Placentia, CA

    3. Suzanne - I was the "Someone, a week or so ago, posted to the list a query concerning Harrells" and I had a response from someone working on the Rascos. I am not working on Craig, Chesnut, Chisolm, or Moore, but am interested in establishing contact with anyone working on the Gabriel Holmes Harrell family that came to Dallas County from Bertie County, NC, in 1818. I believe that Jason Gardner and his wife Sarah Harrell may have come at the same time and would be interested in this family also. Bill Hayes on beautiful Amelia Island, FL
