I am searching for any information on Abner JONES, early sheriff of Dallas Co, AL & Selma, AL Merchant, who might have lived the latter part of his life or had a 2nd residence in Jones Switch, Autauga Co, AL. Much of the rest of the family settled in Haywood Co, TN. He was married 1st to Joannah ?? 2nd to Jane BOGLE. He had children with both. Would like any information on when & why he arrived in AL, death & burial information, any information on either wife and/or children. Carol Shrader Virginia Beach, VA
Is there is anyone that could do a cemetery or death record look-up for me in this county? I need this info for William Ross. His death would have been in the 1800's--probably the earlier 1800's. Any help would be greatly appreciated!!! Thank you, Janet Ross Etheredge
Hi, I am looking for any information on any Rosses in Dallas Co. in th 1800's. I am especially interested in info on William Ross and Hugh Ross. I believe that Hugh Ross moved on to Monroe Co. William & Hugh Ross were listed in the 1820 Dallas Co. Census. Hugh is then listed in the 1830 Monroe Co. Census. I cannot find William anywhere else. Any info would be appreciated. Thank you, Janet Ross Etheredge
Dear Dorothy, Have you decided that your Benjamin and my Josiah Durden of Autauga County, Alabama are not brothers? They I think(?) were the only two listed born in GA. Or are you still just searching for an answer? I noticed you had Francis Durden b. 1770 North Carolina as the father of Benjamin Durden b. 1793 GA---d. 1867 Autauga Co., Alabama. Or am I wrong? Love, Belva
