    3. I don't know if there is a Mt. Pleasant Church and Cemetery in Dallas County but, coincidentally, I was just at the Mt. Pleasant Freewill Baptist Church in Bibb County Alabama this last Sunday. Could this be the one where your ancestors are buried. My sense of direction isn't good but I believe it was located somewhere near Sprott Ala. ----- Original Message ----- From: vgrafton (by way of "B.J. 2. Section 25, twp. 16-N, Range 8-E is approximately two miles north-east of Orrville. A dirt road, connecting county road 33 on the west with state road 22 on the east, runs through the north half of section 25 and the Louisville and Nashville rail road tracks runs through the south-east quarter of section 25. Hope this helps. James R. Rasco

    2. Can anyone tell me if an Andrew Kelly is buried in the a Pleasant Hill Cemetery? He died in Dallas County in the early 1840s I think. I am not sure where he is buried. He was born in 1752 and moved to Dallas County in the 1820s or 1830s. Thanks! 2. Deborah: Yes, I'm descended from Robert Parrott and his first wife Sarah Travis; Robert married (as his second wife) Eliza Polk in 1824. They left the Wilcox-Dallas County area in 1839, to go to Louisiana. He died in 1848 in Sabine Parish, Louisiana. My grandfather John Robert Parrott (born in 1839 in Wilcox County) was the son of William Parrott/Nancy Harriet Lee -- William was Robert's oldest son. Are you also a Parrott descendant? Best wishes, Robert E (Bob) Parrott, Knoxville, TN.

    1. [ALDALLAS-L] Lookup: HUGHES in Orphan's Court Records
    2. Hello, Is there a possibility that someone can check p. 208 of the Dallas Co. Orphan's Court Records (1818-1827) to see what reference there is to Joseph Hughes? Cannot tell you how very much I would appreciate it. I am trying with great difficulty to trace the widow Margaret Hughes listed on the 1830 Dallas Co., AL census and wonder if there is a connection with Joseph Hughes. Thanks and regards, Gerry R. Lee
