Shirley, Where was he living when he died? (area of Cullman Co) He may have been taken to a place that he lived earlier for burial. Also if he lived in the area where Smith lake is now....well....Good luck!!!!!!!!!! Also remember about my GrGrGrandma Ward? You helped me find her, she was buried at the first location of Liberty Baptist Church, now days the people doing the surveys on cemeteries don't have that info so she is never mentioned in the new cemetery surveys. Check out the areas he lived and see if any of the churches moved. Inga
THANKS FOR THE TIPS. HE was born and raised here and was a cook someplace in Cullman County. I have written to his son but lord knows if I will even hear back from him. He lives in Michigan. Have called on of Jacks cousins to see if he knows anything but he has not called me back yet. Is this not a fun hobby. Sure gets frustrating sometimes. We are going to Arkansas in June to a Whitfield family reunion in Benton. Am really looking forward to that one as we will get to meet face to face with some of the ones that I have met on the internet. Isn't that neat. Okay again thanks for the tips . Hope that all is well in your Decatur neighborhood. Met a man called Jack that says he lives in your neighborhood in Hanceville. He was down a Jacks cousins store the other day having lunch there.
