Hi Alabama Researchers, I am researching information on the ARCHER and GORHAM families. My grandfather, John Willard ARCHER was from Alabama (born 1882, died 1937). Willard was married 4 times. His second wife was my grandmother, Zera Myrtle MCANEAR. After her death, Willard married Myrtle¹s sister Annie Florence MCANEAR. Willard was a Methodist preacher in such Alabama towns as Cullman, Baileyton, Henegar, Geraldine, Altoona and Reform. His father was Jasper Monroe "Jack" ARCHER, a farmer from Alabama, born 1851, died 1932. He married Ida Elizabeth "Sissy" GORHAM from Georgia. Jack¹s father, Elias ARCHER, from Virginia, was also a farmer. Elias was born in abt 1806. He married Elizabeth GILBERT from South Carolina or Georgia.
