    1. [ALCULLMA] Fullers
    2. Several years ago with the help of Fuller relatives I was able to find my family origins in Morgan Co. and related ties in Cullman. There continue to be Sims and Fuller cousins in Northern Alabama from whom I occasionally hear from via the internet. The person most knowledgeable of these Sims and Fuller ties was Douglas Fuller; I still have the letter from him in which he responded to my query re our mutual Sims and Fuller lines, it read "nice to hear from your side of the family after 150 years." He proceeded to catch me up on Sims and Fullers as if he had known me all my life. He was truly a gentleman. Douglas mentioned that he had taken up regional genealogy work which continued family notes from his aunts who had begun their work in the 1930's. As our mutual family was in Morgan Co. and Lincoln Co., Tenn by 1812 he had numerous related lines to follow. Does anyone know the status of Douglas's work and research papers? Jim Sims, double 4th cousins of Douglas Fuller

    3. Doug donated a few items over the years to the public library. However, the stuff we received doesn't sound like the papers you discussed. We would love to have copies of his papers. 3. This is my first posting to the list, but with all the SIMS talk lately, I had to find out if anyone knows of my SIMS relation. My ggggrandfather, JONATHAN GAY married ELIZABETH SIMS on February 23, 1860 in Blount Co. According to census records, Elizabeth would have been born abt. 1844. Jonathan and Elizabeth had the following children: Sarah Ann, Louisa Jane, John I., Hattie, Beryan (?), Daniel M. (my line), and Mary S. Jonathan and Elizabeth are listed on the 1860 Winston Co. census living with his parents; on the 1870 Winston Co. census and then in 1880 in Lawrence Co. He is buried in Hopewell cemetery in Cullman Co., and I have no clue as to when she died or where she is buried. That's all I know about her. If anyone out there might have a bite for me, I'd love to know. Elizabeth's been a brick wall for 10 years. Thanks so much. Regards, Lisa Kennard
