As I learn where one has settled, I try seeking them at their last known location. I have been privileged to be able to communicate with three of the immediate relatives; however, neither claims to have knowledge of any of the others except their respective names or part of their names. Rasmus was a half-brother to my maternal grandmother, Willie Aretta Sanford Clifton. Their father was John Rufus Sanford of Fayette County, Alabama.
