Searching for help on finding information on a Phelix Joseph Young who had connections to the Jones/Willard families of Cullman Co. Phelix Joseph Young died in 1950 in Jefferson Co., AL., but lived in Cullman Co. in 1910. The informant on his death certificate was a Marcus Jones whose address was 1734 Berkley Ave., Bessemer, Ala. I really don't know who Marcus Jones was, but believe he was some connection to Phelix Joseph Young's wife who was Nannie Willard Young, daughter of Miles Willard ( I believe). On her death certificate (she died in 1948), it appears that it says Miles Willard and the informant for her death record was a Mrs. T. Jones or so it looked like--so hard to read-very faded record. One of Nannie Willard Young's sisters married a Jones--possibly Elzora Willard. In the 1900 Cullman Co., AL. census, a Monroe Jone and Isaac Jones are living with William M.M. Willard listed as grandsons. Nannie Willard is also in this household, as she and Phelix Joseph Young didn't marry until 1905. So I'm thinking that the Marcus Jones who was the informant for Phelix Young's death records was the great nephew of his wife Nannie Willard Young. If anyone knows about this Jones family, let me know. I am really trying to find further information on Phelix Joseph Young. His obit states that he had 2 half sisters living in 1950--trying to locate some descendants of theirs or info on them, as to what became of them. The obit didn't name them or where they were living. The maiden name of Phelix Joseph's Young's sisters was Wales--one of them married a J.H. Golden in 1911 in Cullman Co. Her name was Leitha or Telitha or Leithy--many different spellings of this. There was also a sister named Martha Wales--don't know what happened to her. Anyone that can help on this Jones/Willard/ Young connections, let me Know. I just thought that since the Jones family was so closely connected as to be informants for the death records of Phelix Joseph Young and wife Nannie Willard Young, that I might find some info about them through someone who researched Jones or knew about this Marcus Jones. It is quite possible that this Marcus Jones is still living, as the one I found in census records was born about 1916. I did find a death record on SSDI for a Marcus M. Jones born Aug. 25, 1916 and died Oct. 20, 1996 in Calhoun Co. AL. However I have no idea if this is the same Marcus Jones I am asking about.
