hello. Would be so nice if we could find a connection. I have no clue as to the siblings or parents of my James J. Elliott. He has been a brick wall for me. Wish I had more info. to share. I have been unable to find my Jack or james Elliott on previous censuses in parent counties of Cullman and in immediate proximity, so he could very well fit in with your Elliott family. The fact that his wife was born in AL in 1842 and all his children were born in AL in the 1870's would indicate that he was here at least by sometime in the 1870's though.
