    3. I sure wish I could find some new blood on this Susan Thomas Hanley/Handley line.I would love to know where she is buried. There is a great mystery to her birth. Her father was suppose to have been killed the day after the Civil War ended.Does anyone know what day and year the war was over.Susan was born in 1868.The story goes, told to me by a great grandaughter of James M.Thomas and Sarah Emaline Lowery, that James was killed during the Civil War andhis body found in a cave in Ga.Sarah walked 300 miles from Ga.with her three childern,Dave,Wilie, and Susan in her arms.Strange thing is all census shows these childern all born in Al.But I do believe Sarah walked to Al. from Ga.becouse this story was told by her son Dave.I believe James deserted his family. This might not be interesting to anyone but me,but there might be Thomas researchers out there,as Dave lived in Cullman Co. at one time.
