Fred, My name is Elli Smith-Rice. I have been working on the family tree for years now and keep hitting brick walls. But anyway my Dad is Norman Smith and if I am correct the school he went to was Grandview. It is still standing and is used as a Hunting Lodge from what Dad told me. Dad said that Hiram Jones was the princial and Montez Jones was one of the teacher and the other teacher was Ms. Speigle. The School is across the street from a cemetery on the hill, in a pasture. The cemerty is on the property of Mobley-Hanes. I did take photos of it 4 years ago and do not have them here with me. They are in Atlanta, will see if my daughter can dig it up for you.
