Michelle The Parker mine cemetery is South West of I65 below Dodge City about a mile or so you turn left and this road goes out to the old county garbage dump. A hunting club has rented the land joining the old cemetery. I know some Williams's are buried their but not sure if any Elliotts are their. I could drive by one evening on my way home from work and see if I can find a marker for your James Elliott. Do you know if he has a marker? Todate our research has taken us to Enoch McClendon born about the late 1800s to the early 1900s in Cullman, Alabama and died in Cleveland, Ohio about Nov. 1960 and buried in Cullman. His wife's name was Molly and they were married about 1928. Their children were Buster, Tilford, Wilford, Ray, Earl, Gene and Larry. Enoch's siblings were Virgil, Fred, Thelma, Carrie and Alfred. We are requesting help in obtaining any and all information about the names and locality of the parents of Enoch and Molly along with any census data that may be available. 1880 Cullman Co. AL (Next door to Plesant Henderson) John Strange, 31, AL, AL, AL Caroline, 32, AL, GA, GA (indicates she has asthma) Pleas, 8, AL Lee, 6, AL Hardaway, 4 Elizabeth, 2, Lavenia, 2/12 Can you tell me anything about the above John Strange on the 1880 Cullman Co. AL census? I believe his full name was John T. Strange (second-hand info, not documented by me) I am particularly interested in the wife, Caroline. This family is living next door to my husband's 3G grandfather Pleasant T. Henderson. The Strange family named a son Ples, and a daughter Elizabeth, both Henderson family names. Caroline also indicates she has asthma on the census, as does Susan Henderson, who I suspect may be her mother living next door. Thanks for any assistance. Terry Jackson taby wrote: > 6. Could someone please help me? I am looking for the marriage of Joseph W. DEES to Mrs. Ona (McDaniel) BANKS around 1890? Thanks Jackie
Can anyone tell me the first name and marriage date of the MR. HOLLEY who was the second husband of Lola Bailey CORDELL? Lola died in 1975, buried at Arkadelphia. Thanks Jackie
I personally know that Lola married a Holley the second time. They have been at daddy's house and I have visited their house. I'm doing some new training as a teacher at Cold Springs School (after 25 years of teaching) so I'll be unable to do any checking until July. Then I'll look at the tombstone. Margaret
Hi Margaret, This is Jackie in Texas with whom you corresponded last year. You sent me copies of pictures of your Sallie Washington and your parents, remember? I am still pursuing more information on this branch of the family because I have not yet discovered where James T. Bailey (grandfather to Lola) is buried. I have a listing of Arkadelphis United Methodist Church --in it are listed both Lola E. and Ed R. Cordell. Both their death dates are listed as April 20, 1975. Lola is listed as Cordell on her tombstone --not Holley-- but you are saying she married a Holley. This is not making sense to me. Allie married Jim Holley. Do you know if they had children? Do you know when they died and where buried? Ed and Lola are buried at Arkadelphia. They had no children. She was a cousin to my daddy. He died of a heart attack the best I can remember. Allie was her sister and Lola married a Holley second time who was a brother (I think) to Allie's husband. Ed and Lola Cordell were two of the sweetest people you could ever meet. We went there often when I was young. Margaret
Allie Bailey was a cousin to my daddy, Robert Washington. I'm not sure is she is buried at Arkadelphia, or maybe Dilworth or Dora. I can barely remember her. Margaret
Hey, keep in touch with me. I'll be in schooling for next 2 weeks but I live at Arkadelphia. In fact, my grandmother was Sally Bailey Washington the daughter of Charlie Bailey. She was related to your Charlie and I'm not sure if a sister or an aunt. I'll be in touch with you. Margaret
Hi, I don't know if they did have children. Just assumed they did. Lola's great grandmother and my grgrandfather were siblings so I am trying to learn more about the Alabama branch of the family.
