I'm not sure I understand what you're asking for: do you need people to help enter information gathered, or do you just need to have records submitted? I would be happy to help with entering info. My lost genealogy connection is the Father of William Garrison " Buck" Bailey. Buck was married to Kizar "Cricket" Calvert, (buried in the Bob Calvert Cemetary in Crane Hill, AL) and although her family is documented, I have no other information on Bucks father. Buck had a brother named James Junior no information on him either Their fathers name is listed as "James" in a census ; but that could be wrong, and it says he was born in SC about 1818 and wife Nancy___ born in Ga. How did they get from SC to Ga to Alabama? Can anyone connect with this family? Is there another limb to this tree? Jayne Bailey Holland Nassau Bahamas
I was hoping someone on the list might know something about the history of Grandview School. Did it used to go by another name, possibly one that started with an "E"? Thanks in advance. Michelle Henderson

Yes, Dennis, I believe that they are buried there, though I have only heard about the place, and have not been there personally ; I am suspecting that your grandmother is possibly my great grandmother..are you referring to Lillie Bowling, married to James McLeroy , or to another ? >There is a J.M. Boland that married a Pink Dollar in Blount County >10/19/1884 (Cullman was made from Blount Co) Birdnneon, I am going to make an assumption that these are the people that I have been told are Jim Bowling, married to Pinkie Dollar, who resided in the Blount/Cullman Co. area. The people I am referring to had a daughter, Lillie, mentioned above in my reply to Dennis. I am basing this on the coincidences between the two sets of names. Birdnneon, from where did you get your information? I am curious, since it would be nice to know for sure if my "Jim" was really "J.M." ( of course, in that case, the J could be short for James, and thus Jim ). If you don't mind, could you help me by letting me know your source(s)...that would be a BIG help. I am interested in these people because while I have some information on my own family (McLeroy) and a little on the Dollars, I seem to be at a roadblock with the Bowlings, being only able to get back to this Jim Bowling, though it is my understanding that perhaps some of the family went on to Arkansas (?), which I have not investigated yet. If either of you ( or anyone else, for that matter, who can help ) would like to contact me directly, feel free to contact me directly and let me know that you saw this on this list. I get the digest mode, so may not get a list-posting right away. Thanks to everyone, Mark

How does your Bowling family tie into the Dollar family? My grandmother was a Bowling before she married and there were Dollar family members on her side of the family. Does anyone have any information on the Parker that went to TX from Cullman County. I am looking for Davis Parker and Mary Adaline Sandlin Parker.
Looking for info on the family of . ANNIE RUTH KENNEDY, 1859-1895; ANNIE RUTH KENNEDY married a Mr. Maples and had one son, WILLLIE MAPLES. Willie died in an accident at an Ensley,Al. steel mill when he was a young man, circa 1905. Ruth Annie had a second marriage to JAMES BARRON in 1887 in Cullman County, Alabama, and had four daughters, JO HANNA BARRON (m. WILLIAM ELMER COCHRAN), BETTE BARRON (m. HENRY SMITH), MARGRET BARRON (m. GROVER CLEVELAND GIPSON) and KATE BARRON (m. Ed Vernon). RUTH ANNIE(NEE KENNEDY) BARRON died in 1895 leaving JAMES BARRON, age 70 with the four little girls ages from 2 years to 6. On her headstone it reads " RUTH ANNIE BARRON" and is buried at Good Hope Cemetery, Cullman County, Alabama. Margret Barron Gipson says that her mom had a brother, but he died before 1895. Harold W. Sorry about the earlier post. Here is a corrected version: "Alabama Family History and Genealogy News," the quarterly publication of the North-Central Alabama Genealogical Society is now accepting submissions for the next issue. AFHGN covers Cullman, Blount, Winston, and Walker Counties, and surrounding areas. Abstracts or transcriptions of records, short (no more than 5-6 pages) annotated family histories, and other genealogical information make perfect submissions. Articles should be submitted in MSWord, with little or no formatting.
