It looks like your like your Oscar Alexander Oliver Ballard's Father was the Son of Butler Ballard. I believe his name was John Alexander. There is an Alexander or Elexander that is listed in the 1880 Covington census as Son in the household of Benjamin Randall 'Butler" Ballard and Mary Elizabeth Etheridge and I believe this is most likley him. Butler Ballard is clearly the Son of Benjamim Randall Ballard Sr 1811- 1890 and Sarah Nancy Jones b1816 d1894. Benjamin Sr was the Brother of Dr Johnathon O (Oliver) Ballard. Notice the Oliver this seems to be another clue of a relation. So it seems we are most likley cousins of some sort. The story of Benjamin Sr and Dr John's parents are pretty complicated. I recommend that you go to the Ballard family message (Roots Web) if you go back a few pages you will see Ballards of Covington title with my name on it .Several people respond to this, and I recommend you read the whole series.
