(Robert was also known by R.K. Rainer.) R.K. and Mary Frances had 8 other children: Annie Rainer- Birth: 30 DEC 1889 Gertrude Rainer- Birth: 6 APR 1892 Robert S. Rainer Birth: 8 JAN 1894 James Rainer- Birth: 10 AUG 1896 Mary V. (Virginia) Rainer- Birth: 3 NOV 1898 Jessie Ray Rainer- Birth: 2 MAY 1901 Maggie Lee Rainer- Birth: 15 NOV 1903 in Dothan, AL Edith Rainer- Katherine Elizabeth Rainer- Katherine Rainer married a man who went by them of H Ernest Tate roughly around 1937. Maybe a year or so before. They had 1 son named Michael Ernest Tate born 12/9/1937 in Opp, Alabama born in their home. In my research I have only been successful at finding one man named H Ernest Tate. This information is from the Florida Death Index, 1936-1998 Record Name: H Ernest Tate Birth Date: 24 Jan 1894 Death Date: 8 Jan 1971 County of Death: Brevard State of Death: Florida I was told that this man was not born with the "H" in his name but later had to take it on because with something he wanted to do, he needed a first, middle and last name. So he chose the "H" I am led to believe the "H" had no significant meaning. I was also told this man may have been a traveling salesman and also had family in Rome, Georgia. I have been unable to track down a marriage certificate for Katherine and Ernest...who were most likely married in Opp, Alabama or a nearby city.
