The Annual Merritt Family Reunion will be held on Saturday, June 2, 2007, starting at 9:00 A.M. and lasting as long as people wish to stay. The location is the Samson Community Center located at the dead-end of North Ripley Street in downtown Samson, Alabama. Please bring yourself, a "filled" dinner basket, old family photos, copies of genealogy material, and family stories to share with others. Below you will see some related surnames written in capital letters in the brief list of the older generations. Absalom HENDRIX Except for one, Jasper Marion Merritt, these children lived in SE Alabama Counties. Jasper lived in Walton Co. FL. Their descendants are scattered all over the United States, but many have remained in Alabama, Florida, Georgia, and Mississippi.
