Mitchell is listed as Thomas Albert Mitchell. I don't have a birthdate, but his sister Catherine was born in 1856. Could this be your Albert Mitchell who married Mary Elizabeth Jones. It is my understanding that Thomas Albert and Catherine Mitchell were adopted by Jefferson C. They may have been his children by an Indian woman (family lore). His wife, "Mattie" and he never had natural children that I can find record of. Family lore says they had only these two adopted children. Thanks, Sherrie Johnson
