He married Ida ---- and had children: Oma (son b ca 1891); Dora (dau born ca 1893); James H. (b ca 1897, d by 1910 census); Laborn Frank (b ca 1899); Lester (b ca 1902), Lessie (dau b ca 1902); Mattie B or Nettie (b ca 1904); Ida M (b ca 1906), Walter W. (b ca 1909) and Eudora B., (b ca 1912). John H. SHort was son of Laban Howell Short, grandson of John C. Short and Mary McDaniel. I descend from th eldest son of John C.
