C. Jordan and Mary Jordan. My great-grandfather Levy Etheridge married Mary M. Etheridge at A. C. Jordan's house on 26 Jan. 1885 in Crenshaw Co. AL. According to a family story, she wanted to go with her family (in covered wagons) to Texas but he didn't want to go so she left and he stayed in Crenshaw and Covington Co., AL. Three years later he married my great grandmother. I found the A. C. Jordan family in the Leon precinct of Crenshaw Co. AL in 1880 but have not be able to find them before or since. Joan
